Our History
The Access to Capital for Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises Conference (“Conference”) began with a vision from the Honorable Illinois State Senate President Emil Jones, Jr. and other minority leaders, to create a facilitator to open dialogue in an attempt to help bring about awareness of and solve the issues facing Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (“M/WBEs”) today. Thus three years ago the first Conference took root and sought to impart knowledge and engage discussions of best practices to smooth the progress of these underserved entrepreneurs. Encouraged by the prospects of this project, the Conference instantly caught the attention of Chicago-land professionals and attracted the support of the premier leaders in the fields of business, law and politics. As Conference constituents continue to grow, it gives us and you the opportunity to reach an even greater portion of the M/WBE marketplace and actively participate in this dynamic and exciting sector of our economy.
